We scour the UK for old electric fires which are no longer safe to use for their original purpose and convert them into beautiful lamps.
It takes around a day to disassemble the fire to its individual components, with each bolt being polished and every surface being carefully restored. As we developed the design behind the custom made LED replacement elements, we remain the only company the UK, and as far as we can tell the world, to produce these lamps. All of our fires are vintage heaters which we individually source; we never use modern reproductions. For this reason each fire is unique and we have yet to make two identical units. The fires are powered by the supplied 12 volts plug-in transformer, which eliminates the danger posed by the original 230v mains operated units.
